On December 17th at  4 pm CET, member of WHW Ana Dević will join Jiri Suruvka, Florian Pumhösl and Jana Kapelova with Nina Vidovencova to discuss the future of art education within the symposium Forming the Reformed.

The Academy of Fine Arts in Prague is organising  the international symposium Forming the Reformed, an international dialogue on the subjects of art education and the teaching of art, online from 3 December 2020 to 7 January 2021.

"The purpose of the symposium is to expand discussion of the methodology of art teaching that was begun at AVU in relation with the school’s 220th anniversary last year. Forming the Reformed brings together international artistic voices from various milieus, geographical locations and generations, including artists with a current academic affiliation and artists involved in non-formal and experimental education. The symposium’s aim will be to relaunch discussion relating to classical, reformed (postwar) and post-reformed art pedagogy and their various curricula, including the speculative transformation of existing institutional programs and the new institutional models it may ultimately inspire."
