Artist statement

In my artistic work, I explore the relationship between memory and remembrance. Also, I  question the concepts of heritage and sentiment which affect the formation of identity, so space and people are the usual content of my work, and family photographs are my frequent working material. Likewise, I problematize the contents of familiar and everyday spaces, both physical and mental, the way they fulfill the well-known areas, corners of the house, and its surroundings. Through my art practice, I am questioning the cultural influence on shaping the identity of the individual and the concept of assigning certain roles. In the formation of my work, the key moment is the research process through which I get acquainted more extensively and thoroughly with a particular topic. In developing and understanding personal artistic practice, the process itself becomes my new interest.
