Belinda Kazeem-Kamiński’s artistic practice is dedicated to unearthing the remnants of Black presence within European archives. It unfolds across photography, video installations, performance, and text, manifesting in layered encounters with history and memory. Rooted in Black feminist theory, her research-driven and process- oriented interrogates the conditions of Black life in the African diaspora. Moving fluidly between documentary and speculation, she crafts immersive narratives that collapse linear time and rigid spatial boundaries. Her practice is one of composing—bringing together people, histories, and contexts, weaving dialogues across disciplines, and fostering exchange through collaborations with artists and thinkers. Kazeem-Kamiński has showcased her works in various solo exhibitions, e.g. Aerolectics Kunst Meran (2025), Respire (Liverpool), Phileas (2024); Strike A Pose, Jesuitenfoyer (2024); Iré, Art X Lagos (2023); You are awaited but never as equals, Coalmine (2023); Seven Scenes, Camera Austria Graz (2022); Belinda Kazeem-Kamiński, Kunsthalle Wien (2021), as well international group shows, e.g. Take a Breath, IMMA (2024), uMoya: The Sacred Return of Lost Things, Liverpool Biennial(2023); If A Tree Falls In A Forest, Les Rencontres d’Arles (2022); Emplotment, Museum Ludwig Budapest (2022); KAS, Centrale Fies (2022); The World Is White No Longer.
